At 9:28 on September 5, a pipeline with a diameter of 813mm broke through the ground after passing through the depth of 50 meters under the Oujiang River bed for 27 hours. So far, the PetroChina Pipeline Bureau Crossing Company successfully completed the Zhejiang Yongtaiwen Natural Gas Pipeline 104 days ahead of schedule. Construction of directional drilling for the south branch of the Oujiang River. The pipeline crossing construction with a diameter of 813mm and a length of 3192 m has created a new record for pipeline crossing in the world.
The Yongtaiwen natural gas pipeline project is an important part of the natural gas pipeline network in Zhejiang Province, with a total length of 463.6 kilometers and a design pressure of 6.3MPa. This project includes 2 trunk lines and 2 branch lines. The crossing of Oujiang River South Branch is the key control project with the greatest difficulty and the highest construction risk.
In May 2013, the Pipeline Bureau Crossing Company won the bid with its rich industry experience, professional construction technology and accurate bidding amount. On May 16, 2015, the south branch of Oujiang River crossing was officially started. According to Zhao Shaochun, manager of the pipeline bureau crossing company, the difficulty of Oujiang river crossing lies in the large pipe diameter, long distance, marine sedimentary silt geology and soft soil. in order to overcome these difficulties, the project department has innovated two processes: the "handshake" process of precise docking of guide holes and the process of ultra-long distance drilling and hole recognition in soft strata. These two processes are both pioneered and successfully applied in the process of crossing the southern branch of Oujiang River. (Li Yuanying and Sun Tiefeng)
