PetroChina has produced 490 million tons of crude oil in Xinjiang in the past 60 years

From October 29th,1955,when Karamay well 1 produced oil,CNPC has produced 490 million tons of crude oil,255 billion cubic meters of natural gas,340 million tons of crude oil and 9.2 million tons of ethylene in Xinjiang.This is what reporters learned at the press conference of"responsibility of central enterprises-PetroChina in Xinjiang"held on the 25th.

It is reported that in the past 60 years,PetroChina has built three major oil fields in Xinjiang,namely Karamay,Tarim and Tuha,and three refining and chemical bases,Dushanzi petrochemical,Karamay Petrochemical and Urumqi petrochemical,connecting the strategic oil and gas resources channel between Central Asia and Russia,forming a complete petrochemical industry including exploration and development,refining,storage and transportation,oil and gas sales,engineering technology and financial services The whole industrial chain.

In Xinjiang,many cities are built and prospered by oil.According to the data,the GDP of Bazhou and Aksu in 2014 increased 83 times and 66 times respectively compared with 1989,and the contribution rate of oil to the fiscal revenue of the two places reached 54%and 56%respectively,while 80%of Karamay's GDP was contributed by oil and petrochemical enterprises.

Under the national"one belt and one way"strategy,Xinjiang's regional advantages and strategic significance are more prominent,which provides an opportunity for PetroChina to accelerate the development of Xinjiang's various businesses.

According to the plan,PetroChina's development in Xinjiang will highlight the main business of oil and gas,solidly promote the construction of"Daqing,Xinjiang",consolidate the strategic deployment of"four bases,one channel and two headquarters",and become a good main force in the construction of the core area of"Silk Road economic belt"in Xinjiang.

According to the introduction,the development goal of the three major oil fields in Xinjiang by 2020 is to produce 50 million tons of oil and gas equivalent and build"Daqing,Xinjiang".

Li Huaqi,deputy general manager of PetroChina planning and planning department,introduced that PetroChina will continue to improve the construction of Xinjiang refining and chemical base,first,greatly improve the comprehensive strength and competitiveness of refining and chemical industry;second,actively support the construction of local chemical industry parks and promote the development of local petrochemical industry;third,open up overseas chemical industry market and support Xinjiang chemical enterprises to"go west".

At the same time,other oil companies in Xinjiang will also perform their respective duties:the western drilling company will consolidate the engineering and technical service guarantee base,the transportation company will move forward to the first-class transnational transportation logistics enterprise,and the Kunlun bank will be built into the most competitive energy bank,which will inject continuous power into the economic and social development and long-term stability of Xinjiang.

Qu Guangxue,a spokesman for PetroChina and general manager of the ideological and Political Work Department,said that PetroChina will also expand its joint venture and cooperation in the upstream,middle and downstream fields of oil and gas,realize the common development of enterprises and land,build industry assistance to Xinjiang and targeted poverty alleviation into a national unity project,and make the development achievements benefit the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang to the maximum extent.
