News from China Petroleum Network(Reporter Chu Haihong) From September 16 to 18, the 2015 China International Petrochemical Conference was held in Shanghai. Centering on the development strategy of the 13th five-year Plan, the conference focused on the new economic situation faced by the petrochemical industry, the mutual influence and countermeasures between the economic slowdown and the petrochemical industry, how to adhere to green and sustainable development, innovate business models, create "clear water and blue sky" and other important issues.
"Green" is the biggest highlight throughout the conference. On September 18, the Sinopec Federation handed over more than 430 Chinese enterprises to the International Federation of Petrochemical Associations to sign the Global Charter of responsible Care, and read out the Declaration on the Green and Sustainable Development of China's Petroleum and Chemical Industry. It is proposed that "firmly establish the concept of green water and green mountains is the development of Jinshan and Yinshan, and strive to create a better tomorrow of green and sustainable development", it has demonstrated to the whole society the confidence and determination of China's petroleum and chemical industry to strengthen industry self-discipline and promote green and sustainable development.
In the first half of this year, my country's petroleum and chemical industry was affected by factors such as the slowdown in domestic economic growth, the intensification of the international competitive environment, and the continued volatility of low international oil prices. The industry faced greater downward pressure. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in the first half of the year, enterprises above designated size in the petroleum and chemical industries increased by 8.8 year-on-year, but their main operating income, total profits, and total import and export trade all declined. The country's total oil and gas production was 0.163 billion tons (oil equivalent), up 2.2 percent year-on-year, and the total output of major chemicals increased by 5 percent. In the second half of the year, the country's macro policy effects of "stabilizing growth, adjusting structure, and promoting transformation" will be further released. Major national strategic deployments such as the "Belt and Road" and "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Integration" will inject new growth momentum into the development of the petroleum and chemical industries. The industry is more likely to stabilize and improve. At the 14th China International Chemical Industry Exhibition held at the same time, the model of Dushanzi's 10 million-ton refining and chemical integration project was moved to the booth. This project is the energy efficiency leader of ethylene production enterprises in 2013. While fully displaying the corporate image, it highlights the high efficiency, safety, environmental protection and energy saving of PetroChina's refining and chemical projects.
Sun Longde, vice president of PetroChina, introduced the prospects of Sino-Russian oil and gas trade and cooperation at the second Sino-Russian Energy Investment Forum.
